چکیده

Abstract Background Maximal aerobic capacity, e.g. maximal oxygen uptake (V̇O 2 max), is not constant, and it has a time-dependent variation based on the condition of individual. On other hand, arterial properties play an important role in determining performance, lower stiffness associated with higher cardiorespiratory fitness levels. This study examined whether individual variations performance are stiffness. Methods Twenty-four (mean age, 19.8 ± 0.2 y) 10 21.2 recreationally active young men women participated Experiment 1 (Ex1) (Ex2), respectively. Aerobic was assessed using graded power test or 1500-m time trial (Ex2). Simultaneously, brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) measured as index both Ex1 Ex2 before exercise trials. In experiments, subjects returned for measurement baPWV V̇O max at month after first measurements. Results No significant differences mean baPWV, run were seen between second visits. Mean significantly days when participants showed better ( P = 0.001 each) than worse time. addition, relationship changes from to visits =0.0001) =0.04). Conclusion These findings suggest that day-to-day

Day - to - Day Variation of the Normal Orthogonal Electrocardiogram

Day-to-day variation of the corrected orthogonial electrocardiogram was investigated in 20 normal subjects. Ten recordings were made in each individual witlh chest electrode positions left unmarked first, after which 10 subjects underwent another series of 10 consecutive daily recordings with marked electrode locations. Mean and maximal day-to-day variations of durations and amplitudes of diffe...

Factors contributing to intra-individual variation of serum constituents: Physiological day-to-day variation in concentrations of 10 specific proteins in sera of healthy subjects.

Using an automated immunoprecipitin method, we assayed human sera for 10 proteins: haptoglobin, orosomucoid, transferrin, alpha1 antitrypsin, alpha2-macroglobulin, IgG, IGa, IgM, complement C3, and complement C4. Blood from 14 healthy subjects (25-40y) was sampled on six separate days. From each venipuncture serum was divided into four eliquots; two were assayed on the day of venipuncture and t...

Factors contributing to intra-individual variation of serum constituents: 5. Short-term day-to-day and within-hour variation of serum constituents in healthy subjects.

We evaluated the variations in some serum constituents in a group of healthy young men for two selected time intervals: short-term day-to-day changes and withinhour changes. In the first case, we used a two-way ANOVA model to compute the main-day effect and the subject-day interaction terms, which were combined to yield the total day-to-day variation. A main-day effect was seen to be statistica...

Factors contributing to intra-individual variation of serum constituents. 1. Within-day variation of serum constituents in healthy subjects.

We evaluated the within-day variation of serum constituents in a group of 11 healthy young men. Twenty-two constituents were assayed at the same time, 19 of them on the “AutoChemist” multi-channel analyzer. The statistical model of analysis-of-variance was used to separate certain factors-subject, time of day, and subject-time interactionfrom the analytical variation. The estimate of analytical...
